Grammar Girl Giveaway: Free “Dirty Words” Chapter

June 28th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Grammar Girl's Quick and Dirty Tips for Better WritingI’ve previously proclaimed my love for Grammar Girl, a/k/a Mignon Fogarty. Now I love her even more.

Grammar Girl’s new book, appropriately entitled Grammar Girl’s Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing, will be available July 8. In honor of the release, GG has released a 40-page chapter called “Dirty Words.”

Get your minds out of the gutter! “Dirty Words” tackles a host of words that GG considers particularly difficult to use correctly. Of particular interest to legal writers, the chapter contains sections on the proper use of assure versus ensure versus insure; i.e. versus e.g.; pled versus pleaded; and (gulp!) hanged versus hung.

So, why are you still hanging around here? Download your free chapter now!
